Turkey Run Paint Out

What a beautiful day for the paint out at Turkey Run.  We painted in the shade with a cool breeze, distant call of a pileated woodpecker, and encouraging comments from passing hikers.

July News

July WVAS News

July Program - Paint Out!
Tuesday, July 18 Paint Out at Turkey Run State Park. (Rain Date, Wednesday July 19th.) Turkey Run web site:

Often our paint outs are on a weekend, but we asked members if they would like to try our normal meeting day, a Tuesday this time, and the answer was "yes!"  This may eliminate some, but may accommodate others, so we're giving it a try.
PLEASE RESPOND TO THIS E-MAIL IF YOU THINK YOU MIGHT GO SO WE KNOW HOW MANY TO COUNT ON. We'll exchange cell phone numbers to keep in touch that day.
We will meet at the Klondike Library Parking lot (northwest corner), Klondike and Limburg, at 8:30am. We can car pool.  Several board members have wanted to hold a paint out at Turkey Run for a few years.  There are many sights to choose from, and a place to eat lunch.  We'll be home sometime late afternoon.
Marilyn Martin, our secretary is especially familiar with the venue, so we'll follow her lead.

We were sorry to have to cancel the May workshop with Ron Burgess because of weather.  It will be rescheduled for the fall.  Because of this, we are rescheduling the Steven Blackburn workshop for spring 2018.  You will have a chance to see him demo at one of our monthly programs before the workshop.
